Lonely Letter Q
By: Ray McAllister
This poem deals with how the disabled often feel marginalized in religious institution settings, and what we can do to help. Enjoy.
I am a lonely letter Q. I have no one to play with No one to talk to No one to notice me. S and T spend time together And they just say That I should stand strong and be still. P and R are friends And they are my next-door neighbors But all they tell me Is to pray and prepare for Providence. Oh, that I would find one To help build a bridge So I might find my place And serve with the gifts I know I possess. What I need, That such quality may quite quickly be acquired, Is U.
